Because when your heart is filled with Christ, your family is too

As parents, the Advent season can feel like a blur of to-do lists, traditions, and making Christmas meaningful for your family. But in the middle of the busyness, your own heart needs space to pause, reflect, and worship.

Waiting for Christmas: An Invitation to Wait, Wonder, and Worship is a 25-day Advent devotional by Janet Denison designed to guide you—personally—back to the wonder of Christ’s coming.

God’s people once waited in silence for 400 years, longing for the Messiah. At just the right time, Jesus came. Through daily Scripture, historical insights, and encouragement, Waiting for Christmas helps you enter their story of waiting—and discover how God is at work in your own story.

Each reflection will invite you to:

  • Slow down and create room for God in your day.
  • Lift your eyes from the busyness of parenting to the hope of Christ.
  • Worship the One who came and is coming again.

This Advent, give yourself permission to wait with wonder. As you lead your family toward Christmas, let your own heart be led into worship.
