What Is the Meaning of the Christian Fish?

Have you ever seen the “Christian fish?” Perhaps you saw it on a bumper sticker or a water bottle. But what does it mean? Is there a connection between faith and fishing?

Four of Jesus’ disciples were professional fishermen, and today calls all His followers to become “fishers of men.”

The Christian fish was a “secret sign” that the early Christians used to identify themselves. “Inside” the fish was a code that they used to share the truth about Jesus’ identity.
