Why We Ask For Donations

When we give the opportunity to financially partner with Christian Parenting sometimes we get notes from readers or listeners that say, “Why do you ask for money?” Or, “Why do you ask for money so often?” Or, “Why does it take so much to fund CP?”

Life is expensive, and the day-to-day costs of keeping up with a family can be overwhelming. We know that abiding by a budget and honoring God in our finances is so important. We love these types of questions because we are all about transparency and honesty, so it gives us the opportunity to share a little about why we ask for donations, and do what we do!

We created Christian Parenting to give you the practical and spiritual help you need, on as many platforms and in as many ways as possible. Over 1 million parents are being transformed by our resources. We exist to help people set aside perfection and grow into the perfectly imperfect parent they were made to be.

Here are some of the things that our partners contribute toward each month:

  • Writing and editing of blogs and articles,
  • Support of 31 shows (and counting!) in our Christian Parenting Podcast Network,
  • Hosting our annual Perfectly, Imperfect digital event,
  • Recording and production of video series like Dear Mattsons, Parenting Pep Talks, and more!
  • Design and printing of physical resources like our yearly Prayer Journal and Kids Advent Devotional.
  • And all the behind the scenes work that it takes to keep our website fresh and emails coming your way.

Our calling isn’t just to create the content and get it out the door. Our calling is to equip parents with the resources they need so they feel confident in raising their kids to know and love God. And the amazing thing is that with the help of our readers and donors, more parents are being equipped now than ever before.

In less than 10 years, God has grown Christian Parenting’s reach from 0 to over 1 million people in more than 193 countries. And it grows more every day.

So occasionally we’ll provide readers and donors an opportunity to invest in God’s work in the lives of parents. Sometimes the amount needed to accomplish the mission will grow as the opportunity grows.

But know this, those invested dollars don’t just sit around, every dollar is invested into the kingdom. It is a high priority to be good stewards of donations

So, thanks for asking. Thanks for reading. And thanks for setting aside perfection so that you can become the perfectly imperfect parent God made you to be.
