Episode 189: Raising Prayerful Kids with Steph Thurling

Parents ask how much is too much? How do I balance all the things? Should we do club sports or music lessons? Should I homeschool or send my kids to public school? How do I make sure my kids don't lose their faith after they leave? Help! If you are a parent (or would like to be someday), this conversation is for you. Leading in the home is one of the greatest responsibilities we have – shepherding the life of a child. Though there are countless books written about all the research, wisdom, and personal stories of parenting, there is no manual on how to raise your child! Tune in as we talk with Steph Thurling, the Executive Director of Christian Parenting and host of The Christian Parenting Podcast. Steph has a master’s degree in youth, family, and culture from Fuller Theological Seminary and has a background in youth and children’s ministry. She is co-author of Raising Prayerful Kids, and a frequent speaker at churches and mom groups. Steph lives in Minnesota with her husband and three kids. In this episode Steph shares insights about how to balance it all, the main things we can focus on as parents, and how to teach our kids to pray. Whether you are a committed follower of Jesus or on a spiritual journey and curious about how to parent well, listen in. We are so glad you're here!
