There is so much to do. Our kids need to be fed and driven to their activities. Bills need to be paid. Church is asking for volunteers. Friends and family want our time. Bible study. Work deadlines. There are expectations and demands everywhere we look no matter what stage of life we find ourselves in. As leaders in the home, at work, and in the community, we are modeling to everyone in our wake what is most important to us by the way we spend our time. We are also modeling boundaries (or lack of boundaries). The Mattsons share about the Concentric Circles tool found in their book, Shrinking the Integrity Gap: Between What Leaders Preach and Live, and how they have learned to live out their priorities. Jeff Mattson (MA ORGL) and Terra Mattson (MA LPC, LMFT) are the husband and wife team who founded Living Wholehearted and Courageous Girls. Living Wholehearted is a professional counseling and organizational leadership development firm outside Portland, Oregon, and Courageous Girls is a global movement and curriculum helping moms walk with their daughters at every stage of their growing years. Terra is an Executive Coach, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, speaker, and author of Courageous: Being Daughters Rooted in Grace (David C. Cook, 2020). Jeff is a former pastor, Executive Coach, organizational development consultant, and speaker. Together they co-authored Shrinking the Integrity Gap: Between What Leaders Preach and Live (David C. Cook, 2020). They are the co-hosts of the Living Wholehearted Podcast and the Dear Mattsons parenting advice series found on YouTube. Terra is the creator of the Helping Moms Raise Confident Daughters guides found at cpguides.org.
