Author / speaker Cyndie Claypool de Neve is an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist who is passionate about prayer and helping people discover their God-given purpose. Cyndie is a member of the Moms in Prayer Board of Directors and has co-authored four books with Moms in Prayer president Sally Burke. She is also the author of God Confident-Kids: Helping Your Child Find True Purpose, Passion, and Peace, which was featured on Focus on the Family in February 2021. Cyndie has an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and is working on her Doctorate in Transformational Leadership through Bethel Seminary. SCRIPTURES:
At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!
