Ep. 32 : Healing from Sexual Brokenness with Josh & Jaelyn Harrel: Part 2

Welcome to a short series on sexual wholeness. We have been helping leaders live with integrity for a couple decades now and sexuality seems to be at the forefront of what many are struggling with in our counseling offices. In these sacred spaces, leaders and their families are processing pornography addictions, sexual betrayal, sexual identity and how to raise children with healthy sexuality. These topics are rarely discussed, often misunderstood, and deeply impacted by our individual experiences (and traumas). Sexuality evokes all kinds of emotions and we warn you that this series is not an easy one to listen to, though absolutely necessary if you are living in today’s culture. Our goal is to help us all understand what’s beneath the white waters of our sexuality and to find freedom from the white knuckling behaviors we have somehow championed in the Church for years.  In Part 1, we start with a story that will feel familiar to many. Josh & Jaelyn Harrel are a courageous couple who share their journey of sexual brokenness. With incredible transparency, they lead us behind the scenes of shrinking their integrity gaps in the area of their sexuality.  ******If you need more help and wholeness in this area, please visit Living Wholehearted to see more of our resources. We can try to help you find support where you live as well. If you are a woman, sign up for the InCourage 2020 Gathering, a live simulcast on July 10 & 11th, where we will be talking about all the issues that plague us women. Experts will be sharing how to help our children develop healthy sexuality, recover from sexual betrayal and sexual abuse, sexual identity, and what healthy sexuality even looks like. Jaelyn is one of the amazing breakout speakers! Would you mind writing a review? It helps us share the message of the Living Wholehearted Podcast. And if you have not, make sure you subscribe to our podcast to get the rest of this series which will include Part 2 with Josh & Jaelyn Harrel, interviews with author and therapist, Jay Stringer, and author and marriage and family therapy, Dr. Sheri Keffer and a dialogue between Jeff & Terra. You can get Terra’s book Courageous: Being Daughters Rooted in Grace for women and girls or pre-order Jeff & Terra’s new book, Shrinking the Integrity Gap: Between What Leaders Preach and Live anywhere you buy books.
