May 13, 2024 • 37:08 • Amy Parker and Mike Nawrocki

This week hosts Mike Nawrocki and Sarah Humphrey talk with authors Conner Shram and Jared Neusch about their new book: Jesus vs the Bad Guys.

Who is Jesus? Authors and lifelong friends Connor Shram and Jared Neusch want kids to meet the real Jesus.

Jesus is the core to understanding our faith in a deep and personal way. Introducing kids to Jesus at a young age can help them build a lifelong, unshakeable trust in him. The authors goal is to provide stories about Jesus that are fun and exciting, reflect the playful imagination God has given to each of his children, and reveal the radical, timeless example of Jesus message.

Even young children, through Gods help, are ready to know the real Jesus. Thats why each book in this series features key biblical values, presented in a fun, funny, engaging, and lasting way. Eachbook in the Jesus Is for Kids series will help children:

build their knowledge of who Jesus is;

enter a deeper relationship with Him; and

develop a love of Scripture.

S6Ep17: Blessed and Beautiful: Psalm 1

Blessed and Beautiful: Psalm 1 (with Psalm 121)is the third entry in the series. Every tree is beautiful and strong and makes unique contributions that other trees may not. The trees vary in their type of wood, the way they serve animals, and their particular strengths. However, no tree holds more value than another.

This story combines fun and clarity, using illustrations to foster children's enthusiasm to absorb the truths of the Bible.

Join the Adventure of Fir, Pine, Cedar, Oak, and Juniper in this colourful book. Notice how each tree reflects Psalm 1 and Psalm 121. As you study these Psalms, identify strengths you can grow as you plant yourself close to streams of goodness and practise thoughtful actions. Welcome to Blessed and Beautiful!

This week hosts Sarah Humphrey and Mike Nawrocki talk with video producer Craig Dehut from Appian Media.

Craig is a seasoned video producer with over fifteen years of experience. He co-founded Appian Media alongside his business partner, Stuart Peck, driven by a shared concern for the lack of engaging biblical media for young people. Their vision was to bridge the gap between the youth and Bible study through professionally produced, accurate, and free content.

Craig is deeply passionate about making the Bible more accessible and relevant, especially to homeschool families, faith-based individuals, and those interested in the historical and geographical aspects of biblical accounts. Their content resonates with Bible believers seeking a deeper perspective.

Appian Media is committed to providing tools that are biblically accurate, visually engaging, and freely available, in an effort to help bring people closer to God through a better understanding and study of the Bible.

Appian Media's success is evident not just through awards and views but in its profound impact on individuals. With 9 million YouTube views and global support for funded projects, their recent endeavor in Egypt showcases the widespread international reach and community backing they have gained. Craig is fervently dedicated to making the Bible more accessible and meaningful, particularly for homeschool families, faith-based individuals, and those intrigued by the historical and geographical aspects of biblical stories. S6Ep13: Do I Belong? Reassuring Kids Adopted From Foster Care

This week hosts Sarah Humphrey and Mike Nawrocki talk with author Carey Koenig about her new book, Do I Belong? Reassuring Kids Adopted From Foster Care.

With more than 400,000 children in foster care in the US alone, thousands of kids struggle to find their forever families. Even those who are adopted experience heavy emotions that are difficult to understand. These children are asking,

Why did I have to be adopted?

Do my adopted parents actually love me? Will they give me away?

Why do my friends make fun of me for being adopted?

Carey Koenig, along with her adopted children Reid and Halley want to help children realize that being adopted is awesome! Do I Belong? is a resource for kids of all ages who have been adopted from foster care who need to know that they are not alone. This resource is great for younger children to read with their parents, for teenagers, and for anyone who wants to learn more about what being adopted from foster care is all about. And best of all, theyll hear from several different kids who have been adopted from foster care.

Kids will learn that they were adopted for a special reason and that no matter what happens, they are never alone.
