Beatitudes: Building Godly Character in Women | Hunger & Thirst for Righteousness w Lorielle Agraso

June 10, 2024 • 51:39 • Stacy Callender

The God of the universe tells us to just bring our appetites and He will take care of the rest. Today we continue in our series, Beatitudes: Building Godly Character in the Woman of God, by welcoming mom of three, Lorielle Agraso. We dive into the fourth beatitude, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Lorielle reminds us about the fullness of life that comes as we seek God and the things of Him. She helps us step away from the world and into the goodness of God.

ABOUT OUR GUEST

Lorielle Agraso is a follower of Jesus with a heart for revival and God's truth. She became a stay-at-home mom after her first of three was born. Her husband Gabe, is often traveling for work, and she found a deeper calling for her home and family as she learned to trust God in much of the solitary time. She was born and raised in Southern California, but recently moved to middle Tennessee, where the family has lived for almost 4 years. This was a big leap of faith, drenched in much prayer, but Lorielle found peace in surrendering what she once controlled, to dive deeper into what God was providing their family. They now live on 16 acres with 3 children (1 girl and 2 boys), 24 chickens, 6 ducks, 5 dogs and 2 kittens with hopes to add additional animals in the years to come. She loves growing her garden, cooking, trying new things and having friends and family over for game nights. Her faith has become her biggest adventure and each season she looks forward to the time spent with God as He plants new seeds and brings her into the next chapters He intends her walk to through.

SCRIPTURES

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:6 ESV

Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Deuteronomy 8:1-3 NIV

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8 NIV

Meanwhile his disciples urged him, Rabbi, eat something. But he said to them, I have food to eat that you know nothing about. Then his disciples said to each other, Could someone have brought him food? My food, said Jesus, is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. John 4:31-34 NIV

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;

    my soul thirsts for you;

my flesh faints for you,

    as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,

    and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, Psalm 63:1 & 5 ESV

You prepare a table before me

    in the presence of my enemies. Psalm 23:5a NIV

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. Romans 14:17-18 ESV

Gods Great Love Casts Out Fear | Part Two w Fern Nichols

When youre in the Word daily and see Gods love over and over again, it gets easier to immediately trust Him. And that then means the fear is not there. Fear is not of God because God is love. Today we welcome back Moms in Prayer Founder, Fern Nichols, for part two of Gods Great Love Casts Out Fear. She helps us fill our arsenals with Gods Word to fight against the enemy and soak in the truth of Gods love. God not only shows us His great love, He IS love. And that changes everything.

ABOUT OUR GUEST

Fern Nichols is a former elementary school teacher and the founder of Moms in Prayer International, a prayer movement that mobilizes women around the world to gather together to pray for their children and schools. In 1984, Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children off to junior high. She knew the school would be a battlefield for their hearts and minds. She realized the warfare would be intense and to fight in this battle she needed to invite other moms to pray. She called a mom and asked her to pray with her for their children and school. Her response was an immediate yes, and that was the humble beginning of Moms in Prayer that now spans the USA in every state and is in more than 150 countries. Fern has traveled to almost every continent in the world speaking, teaching and training women how to pray effectively. She and her husband Rle have been married for over 50 years. They were involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU) for 15 years. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.

SCRIPTURES

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32 NIV

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. Jude 1:20-21 ESV

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1 NIV

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

He answered, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27 NIV

Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:23b NIV

And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of Gods marvelous love; and may you be able to feel and understand, as all Gods children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; Ephesians 3:17-18 TLB

When I am afraid,

I will trust in you.

In God, whose word I praise,

in God I trust; I will not be afraid.

What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 56:3-4 CSB

Praise the Lord, my soul;

    all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Praise the Lord, my soul,

    and forget not all his benefits

who forgives all your sins

    and heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the pit

    and crowns you with love and compassion,

But from everlasting to everlasting

    the Lords love is with those who fear him,

    and his righteousness with their childrens children

with those who keep his covenant

    and remember to obey his precepts. Psalm 103:1-4, 17-18 NIV

SCRIPTURES

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 ESV

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NIV

We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us. 1 John 4:18 TLB

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand,

Who says to you, Do not fear, I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 NASB

I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 NIV

Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17 ESV

I will say to the Lord, My refuge and my fortress,

    my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:2 ESV

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. Romans 4:20-21 ESV

God is able to fill us and our children with the courage we need even when we are fearful or face rejection. He can make a way! Those situations that seem so big to us are not impossible for our God!

SCRIPTURES

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:10-12 ESV

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brothers and sisters who are in the world. 1 Peter 5:8-9 NASB

Remember the word that I said to you, A slave is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; John 15:20a NASB

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For God, who said, Light shall shine out of darkness, is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

2 Corinthians 4:4,6-9 NASB1995

You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Matthew 5:43-47 ESV

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:10-11 NASB
