SCRIPTURES (NIV)
I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land. Ezekiel 22:30a
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6
During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.” Daniel 2:19-23
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7
The king said to Daniel, “Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery.” Daniel 2:47
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

Standing in the Gap in Battle with Bob Arii
“We need to look to the Lord when life is good and especially when life is impossibly hard.” What a comfort to know we can always count on the Lord! We are continuing our podcast series “Standing in the Gap” focusing in on some of the amazing intercessors in the Bible. Today Stacy is joined by pastor, teacher and member of the Moms in Prayer International Board of Directors, Bob Arii. Listen in as Bob shares insights we can learn from King Hezekiah crying out to God in the face of grave danger.
ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Bob Arii is a retired pastor and school science teacher, who continues volunteering at a senior care facility. He provides spiritual care while also leading Bible studies utilizing musical skills with his voice and guitar, singing hymns as part of their time together. He leads a weekly men’s Bible study in their home with men from the community, and another home group as part of the church they attend. (Do pastors ever really retire?). He is passionate about disciples of Christ making disciples of Christ with His love, grace, mercy and peace.
Bob and his wife Carrie just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They have two boys (now men), one is married. They have blessed them with two grandchildren, a boy and a girl and off course they make frequent trips to Colorado to see them.
SCRIPTURES:
Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said: “O Lord God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God. Truly, Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands, and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were not gods, but the work of men’s hands—wood and stone. Therefore they destroyed them. Now therefore, O Lord our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord God, You alone.” 2 Kings 19:15-19 (NKJV)
Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother’s name was Abijah daughter of Zechariah. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father David had done. 2 Chronicles 29:1-2 (NIV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
I searched for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30 (NIV)

Standing in the Gap Willingly with Kathryn Coffelt
“Elisha’s prayers should make us brave to ask big things that line up with God’s will.” We are continuing our podcast series “Standing in the Gap” focusing in on some of the amazing intercessors in the Bible. Today Stacy speaks with Moms in Prayer International Global Translations Coordinator, Kathryn Coffelt. Listen in as Kathryn shares treasure we can learn from Elisha and also points out the great reward for following his willing example.
“Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. As the Aramean army advanced toward him, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, please make them blind.” So the Lord struck them with blindness as Elisha had asked. Then Elisha went out and told them, “You have come the wrong way! This isn’t the right city! Follow me, and I will take you to the man you are looking for.” And he led them to the city of Samaria. As soon as they had entered Samaria, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, now open their eyes and let them see.” So the Lord opened their eyes, and they discovered that they were in the middle of Samaria. 2 Kings 6:16-20 (NLT)
I searched for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30 (NIV)
ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Kathryn Coffelt has a desire to see prayer become an actual offensive weapon and the first line of defense for Moms. After many years of prayer, she can testify that God is still answering, still guiding, and still in charge. Currently Kathryn serves as the Global Translation Coordinator for Moms in Prayer International Headquarters. She feels very blessed to work with an amazing group of translators all around the world to provide Moms in Prayer resources in many languages.

At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench. When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!” 1 Kings 18:36-39 (NIV)
I searched for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30 (NIV)
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. James 5:16b-18 (NLT)

As long as I live, while I have breath from God, my lips will speak no evil, and my tongue will speak no lies. Job 27:3-4 (NLT)

She earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of California San Diego and worked as an engineer before becoming a mom. Jackie is also the founder of Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center, a licensed medical clinic that provides free services and resources to women in crisis pregnancies.
SCRIPTURES:
While the people of Israel were still at Rephidim, the warriors of Amalek attacked them. Moses commanded Joshua, “Choose some men to go out and fight the army of Amalek for us. Tomorrow, I will stand at the top of the hill, holding the staff of God in my hand.” So Joshua did what Moses had commanded and fought the army of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of a nearby hill. As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle. Exodus 17:8-13 (NLT)
I searched for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30 (NIV)
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19 (ESV)

Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city—will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes? Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?” And the Lord replied, “If I find fifty righteous people in Sodom, I will spare the entire city for their sake.” Genesis 18:23-26 (NLT)

Every College Covered in Prayer with Thai Lam
“As we’ve met so many students over the years and heard their stories, inevitably we hear, ‘Yeah, my mom has been praying.’” After decades of college ministry, this is the hope-filled conclusion! Today Stacy talks with the executive director of Luke18 project, Thai Lam. Listen in as he shares his heart for college ministry and how it all began with his own college experience. Don’t miss his eyewitness account of the power of prayer and the opportunity to be a part of the Collegiate Day of Prayer.
ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Thai Lam is part of the leadership team of the International House of Prayer and serves as the executive director of Luke18 Project, a campus prayer movement that is contending for revival and equipping college students to be praying leaders. He also gives leadership to Collegiate Day of Prayer, America’s oldest concert of prayer for college campuses on the last Thursday of February. Thai has pioneered and led campus ministries at UC Berkeley, UCLA, Stanford, San Jose State, KU, and UMKC. Thai came to faith in Jesus as a freshman at UC Berkeley, graduated in Religious Studies, and then studied Cross-Cultural Missions at Fuller Seminary. Thai and his wife Angela reside in Kansas City with their 3 children — Noah, Cohen, and Selah.
SCRIPTURES:
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’ The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”
Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:1-8 (NLT)
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 (NLT)
