“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” — Philippians 4:19–20
Throughout the world, people will join you to celebrate Christmas. Different countries have different traditions, but all Christians have the same Savior they will celebrate today. What is the secret to making today a holy day and not just a holiday?
Knowing that all things come from Jesus and that our most valuable gift today (and every day) is the baby born in a manger so many years ago.
Paul understood and trusted that for everything he needed, God would take care of in his perfect timing. This time of year, when we focus so much on stuff, let’s take time to remember that the only thing we truly need comes from Jesus: forgiveness for our sins and the promise of living with him forever in heaven. Pray for your non-Christian friends and family as they open the gifts you’ve given, that they will know the one true gift of Jesus.
The secret to a wonderful Christmas is celebrating the day with Jesus, filled with his strength, and thanking him for being our Lord yesterday, today, and forever. He will change your smile, your words, and your feelings of joy and peace.
It’s Christmas Day!
May your home be filled with the angelic presence that filled the skies above the shepherds. May you feel the same joy and wonder that Mary and Joseph experienced. May your gifts bless and help those who receive them. May you know the value of the most precious gift of Jesus on this blessed day.
Let’s share Paul’s secret with those around us. God, not man, gives us everything we could possibly need. No matter what is under the tree for us this year, we can be joyful knowing we have the promise of celebrating every Christmas in eternity with Jesus in his glory.
Make time to worship your King, and have a wonderful and blessed Christmas day.
Lord, we rejoice in you and your many blessings. May your perfect love be our favorite gift!
Merry Christmas from all of us at Christian Parenting and Denison Ministries. It is our privilege to share our ministry with you at Christmas and throughout the year.
We wish you a joy-filled Christmas day and a blessed and holy New Year.
